Agenda:
-Individualized studio work time for upcoming portfolio submission. Students will make personalized decisions about how to best use their studio time to successfully complete their AP Portfolio. Students will create online accounts at https://apstudio.ets.org/apstudioart/ AP Concentration Statement -Your statement should be specifically about the artwork in your concentration -Include specific connections in your work to artist(s), artistic movements, cultural or historical significance, and how your work was influenced by these connections. -Highlight one or two of your concentration works (list by number when you upload your artwork to the AP portfolio site—in the meantime describe the specific work by name or short description) referencing some specific connections to your influences or how the work highlights your concentration concept. -Avoid general statements and statements about how “art is the reason you get up in the morning”, etc. -Use excellent grammar and punctuation. Note the format you will see on the AP site in the questions below: 1. What is the central idea of your concentration? (500 characters maximum) 2.
